You and your 4 siblings chased a soccer ball across the fenced in yard, while your mother and her master watched. You and one of your brothers, who your mother calls Golde, corner your “prey” by the fence, and you open your jaws wide to try and grab it, but your puppy jaws are still too small for that. Your sister, Wistala, climbs onto you and uses your back to leap onto the black-and-white ball. Your brothers, Schwartz and Schnitzel, are right behind her.
You get out of the way of them and turn to see Schnitzel using Golde’s head as a step. He crawls backwards before Schnitzel has time to climb onto the ball, and he claws at the thing before tumbling to the ground. Schwartz is pushed off by Wistala, who leaps off of the ball and onto Schnitzel. The two immediately start to play-fight, rolling around in a heap of brown and black fur. Schwartz joins them after a few moments, and you trot over to Golde, who’s sprawled on the ground. you place your front paws on the small of his back and grab hold of his ear. He growls softly, and rolls onto his feet, pushing you away in the process. Before you can get away, he grabs your ear and tugs, and the two of you start a play-fight of your own.
“Puppies!” your mother calls, and you release your hold on Golde’s scruff to look over at your mother, who’s getting to her feet. Wistala and Schwartz immediately stop “attacking” Schnitzel and race towards her. You follow them, and in turn, are followed by Gold and Schnitzel. You stop at the edge of the grass and watch your mother and you siblings walk into the open door that’s being held open by her master, Marzi. “Playtime’s over already?” you sit down and look up at Marzi, who reaches down towards you. You get up to run, but before you so much as sneeze, she has you in her grasp and steps into the house, closing the door behind her.
Inside, Marzi sets you down, and you race towards the kitchen, where you see your siblings eating the soft stuff that the human gives you. You race over to join them, but by then, the large bowl is empty, save for a few mouthfuls. You push Golde away to get at the food, but in turn are pushed away by Wistala. You attempt a growl, but it comes out as a sort of low whine, and your sister pays no attention, so you sit and whine.
Marzi, seeing this, gets out a pie tin, sets it in the corner, and spoons some of the soft food from a can. You trot over to her on your not-so-graceful puppy paws, and lick her hand, before starting to wolf down your food.
After eating, you stumble to the glass door leading to the yard, and press your nose against it. You see your backyard and the chain-link fence, and beyond that, wheat fields. You stare at the golden stalks for a few minutes before sitting down to scratch your ear. You get back up and trot towards where your mother rests. Your siblings are already curled up and asleep next to her.
You walk halfway to her before flopping down on the carpet and yawn; it’s too much work to go the rest of the way when you’re tired and have a stomach full of food. Your eyes droop as you watch your mother get up and pad over to you, pick you up by your scruff, and walk back to the mass of sleeping puppy that is your siblings. The last thing you remember is feeling your siblings’ warmth and your mother’s deep, steady breathing…

You wake to the sound of people in another room, and sit up. You look around and see that Wistala, Schnitzel, and Schwartz are gone, along with your mother. Golde stirs next to you. He gets up and yawns. “Where’s Mother, (Name)?” he asks you, looking around the sunlight-bathed room. “I don’t know,” you reply, before getting up and padding towards the people-sound. You hear Golde get up behind you.
What you see in the next room surprises you beyond moving: Schwartz, Wistala, and Schnitzel are being picked up and cuddled by 4 people. Marzi is smiling and sits in a chair, your mother lying at her feet. You woof softly when Golde stops next to you, and your mother turns her head. “Guten Morgen,” your mother greets you by wagging her short (very short) tail at you and Golde, who’s immediately picked up by a human pup. He yelps in surprise, causing your mother to get up and trot towards him and the child to check that he’s alright.
“You’re late waking up, (Name)!” Wistala says to you from a human’s arms, and you growl irritably. “Don’t you think I know that?” you reply, and skitter back as a man—you can tell by the look of the human—steps towards you. He smells like wurst and beer, and you wrinkle your nose. He picks you up by your waist and holds you up as if examining you. You don’t like the way he’s holding you, so you twist around and nip his thumb, but it doesn’t do anything but make him laugh. “Das hier ist nett,” he says to Marzi. “Ja, ja sie ist,” she replies, laughing.
After some more talking between them, the man sets you down—finally!—and follows Marzi into another room blocked by a gate. Your mother walks over to you and sniffs you for a few moments before going back to the mat she was lying on, and settling again. You can feel a bit of sadness radiate off of her as she looks through the glass door to the yard.
The man returns holding a folder, which he puts into a suitcase. He shakes Marzi’s hand, and scoops you up from the ground. Your mother raises her head to look at you, and trots towards the man, who lowers you until you are eye-to-eye with your mother. She gives you a lick on the forehead, and you nuzzle her cheek. Then Marzi calls her to her side, and you watch as your mother obediently walks over to sit by her. You’re raised into the man’s arms again, and he walks out the front door. You hear a soft whining coming from inside—Golde, you think—and are loaded into the front seat of the car. The man walks around to the other side, where a large-ish Frisbee-like thing is attached to the wall of the car. He gives you a pat on the head. “Gut Rottweiler,” he says to you, and sets the suitcase down in the space in front of the seat. You feel the car spring into motion. You look through the window at the house until the car turns down a corner, where trees and fields obstruct it from your view.

“Guten Morgen: “good morning”
“Das hier ist nett: “this one’s cute”
“Ja, ja sie ist”: “yes, yes she is”
“Gut Rottweiler”: “Good Rottweiler”
This is part 1 of the request by ~echosdusk (one of my awesome deviantart friends!)

Reader-chan is a Rottweiler puppy, who's just been adopted. Trying to put this through the perspective of a dog. A really, really smart dog. That could crush your hand in less than a second if they wanted to. (Fact: Rottweilers have a stronger bite force than German Shepherds do, but aren't usually used by police-dogs because they're lock-jaw dogs, which means that they'll leg go when and ONLY when they want to. Like my American Bulldog.)

Hope you like it! Please don't bash!
